Lakes lovers show their talent at park show
The art of caravanning was in the frame this summer at an exhibition of work created by guests at a top Cumbria holiday park.
Staged in August at Skelwith Fold Caravan Park in Ambleside, the show featured hundreds of paintings and sketches plus photographs and poetry inspired by the Lake District.
Each was contributed to the park's August Summer Show - now in its fifth year - by owners of holiday homes and regular touring caravan and motorhome guests.
Prizes in different categories were presented by Skelwith Fold director Henry Wild who said that the exhibition was now a major annual event at the park:
"The array of talent on display is always absolutely astonishing, and those taking part this year ranged in age from eight to eighty," he said.
"Although our guests come from all over the UK, they are very much a community when they stay on the park - and our Summer Show really brings this into focus," added Henry.
Selected pictures from the event will illustrate different months in Skelwith Fold's 2012 calendar.
