We’ve got plenty planned for 2012. What better way to kick off the new season than giving you some dates to fill your diary with.
Saturday 24th March: Cheese & Wine Quiz Night
We will be holding a fusion of a pub quiz and a cheese and wine affair in the conference room. Tickets are £4 per person and include entry and a glass of wine. Extra beer, wine and soft drinks will be for sale on the night. Teams can be as large as 6 so either get recruiting or team up on the night. Tickets are limited to little more than a hundred for this event so act fast.
Sunday 8th April: Easter Fun Coffee Morning
On Easter Sunday itself we will be holding one of our familiar coffee mornings but with Easter themed entertainment for the children. We’re talking about Egg decorating, an Easter Egg hunt and Egg rolling.
Saturday 12th May: Tasting Evening
How could we resist after the success of the tasting evening last year? Once again we will be offering up samples of some fantastic locally made produce.
Sunday 3rd June: Queens Diamond Jubilee Street Party
A classic British street party for this once in a lifetime celebration. To be held outside reception and to follow tradition we will be inviting everyone who wishes to get involved to bring along food and drink. This should be a real Skelwith community bash! Additional activities for the day to be announced.
Sunday 22nd July: Windermere Jazz Cruize and Caravan Show
A Weekend in July where we will be displaying a number of holiday homes for your perusal. In the evening there will be a private cruise on Windermere featuring a Jazz band to make the trip more memorable. Exact dates and pricing are still being negotiated so expect more details shortly.
Weekend of 4th & 5th August: Summer Exhibition plus Strawberries & Cream Get Together
Our annual Summer Exhibition will be held again in August. As usual we want your crafts and photos so why not get started early. Rather than hosting a BBQ on the Saturday as we have done in the past we will instead be having a quintessentially English gathering with Pimms, Strawberries and cream. Tickets and pricing for the evening gathering will be released shortly.
